Announcements

  • The Writing Center is pleased to announce that it will resume all tutoring services on Monday, September 16.

  • The Writing Center will be available to support students IN PERSON or ONLINE during the fall 2024 semester beginning Monday, August 12.
  • Tutoring for both in person and online will not be available during the following days.
    • September 2 (Labor Day)
    • November 11 (Veterans Day)
    • November 25-30 (Thanksgiving break)

  • For IN PERSON Tutoring (available during fall and spring semesters):  If you would like to work with a tutor in person, first make an appointment via our appointment webpage and select a tutor with the designation (IN PERSON) next to the tutor's name.  Then come to the Writing Center located in the Liberal Arts building, Room-201 on the day and time of your appointment.  Be sure to bring your paper and assignment/prompt to work with your tutor.

  • Online Tutoring may be conducted online by email or by Zoom (Check schedule for updates on availability).  When making an appointment with a tutor, refer to the instructions found on the Writing Center webpage, or the Writing center appointment webpage to see whether your appointment is in person or online.

  • For ONLINE Tutoring (available during fall, spring and summer sessions):  There are TWO PARTS that need to be followed in order for you to be assisted by an online tutor.  

    • PART 1 is to make an appointment via our appointment webpage.  

    • PART 2 is to email your questions about your assignment or paper (if you have written one) and required information to the online tutor.  Please familiarize yourself with these two parts in order to make the most of this invaluable tutoring service.

  • For days and time periods that the Writing Center will be closed, scroll down to the bottom of this webpage for more information.
  • The last day when the Writing Center will be fully in service for the fall semester is December 10. (Note: Limited tutoring may be available during the week of finals.)
