What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is a process by which institutions of higher education are evaluated to ensure that they meet or exceed national standards of quality. San Bernardino Valley College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 428 J. Street, Suite 400, Sacramento, CA. 95814., (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

What does this mean to students?

An accredited college can offer its students federally-funded financial aid such as Pell Grants. San Bernardino Valley College receives educational grants to help our students. The credits that students earn here are of the highest quality and can be transferred to other institutions across the nation.
