What is Articulation?

Articulation is the process that ensures community college courses are recognized and accepted when students transfer to a four-year college or university. A key part of articulation is curriculum alignment- making sure that what students learn in community college courses meets the academic expectations and requirements of CSU, UC, and private/independent colleges and universities. Ultimately, articulation helps create smooth and clear pathways for students, minimizing the need to repeat coursework and keeping them on track to achieve their educational goals.

Where can I find Articulation Agreements?

San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) articulation agreements with California State Universities (CSUs), University of California (UCs), and some private/independent colleges and universities can be found at www.assist.org.

ASSIST is the official course transfer and articulation system for California colleges and universities. It shows prospective transfer students how courses completed at SBVC may be used to satisfy elective, general education and major requirements at a CSU or UC campus.
