SBVC K12 Articulation

The San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD) is committed to work in partnership with local Regional Occupational Programs (ROP), adult education centers, and secondary schools to develop secondary articulation for students to earn college credit while completing their secondary program. Secondary Articulation prepares students for the workforce through advanced education in a wide variety of fields.

Secondary to post-secondary articulation provides a method by which college credit is awarded to successfully completed equivalent high school and/or regional occupational programs (ROP) coursework. Articulation reduces students' need to repeat coursework in college and facilitates a smooth transition from secondary to post-secondary education. It allows students to reach their educational and career goals more efficiently.

Secondary Articulation Process

  • Gather documents needed:

      • Secondary district's course outline
      • Secondary district's Final Exam and/or Final Project(s)

The secondary district's course outline should identify standards equivalent to the SBVC course

  • Complete the Secondary Articulation Proposal Form and Submit the Proposal form along with your school/district's course outline, final exam and/or final project(s) to the San Bernardino Valley College Valley Now! High School Partnership Program at SBVCk12Articulation@valleycollege.edu.

  • Secondary teachers must create an account for the CATEMA system in order to award students the articulation credits.
