Whether you’re a prospective student, current student, parent, educator, or community partner, our team is here to support you with tailored presentations, workshops, and engagement opportunities that promote college access and affordability.

Available Presentations & Workshops

A comprehensive overview of federal and state financial aid programs, including eligibility, application steps, and follow-up requirements. This presentation also highlights financial aid opportunities for CA Dreamer students and reviews the CADAA application process. (Does not include line-by-line application review.)
This focused session is designed specifically for undocumented students and covers CADAA eligibility, state aid programs, the application process, post-submission steps, and scholarship resources for Dreamer students.
An interactive session where students receive brief instructions on completing the FAFSA or CADAA, followed by one-on-one assistance from financial aid staff. Participants are encouraged to bring relevant tax and income information and create FSA IDs in advance, though not required.
Learn how to find, apply for, and maximize scholarship opportunities. This presentation covers where to search, how to identify reputable sources, and tips for writing a strong scholarship essay.
A focused session on the SBVC Foundation Scholarship application process, including eligibility requirements, selection and notification processes, and how funds are disbursed.
A workshop aimed at helping students and families plan financially for college. Topics include understanding college costs, estimating financial aid, and completing the next steps after submitting an application. Budget worksheets are included for interactive participation.
Our staff can attend your event and provide an information table with literature, materials, and answers to general financial aid questions.
Tailored for educators, counselors, and community professionals, this session covers the financial aid process, regulations, and recent updates. Ideal for those supporting students through the college access pipeline.
