What You'll Actually Pay (don't decide where to apply to until you've read this!)
A lot of students decide not to apply to some colleges and universities because of the "sticker price" we often hear. But the truth is that only those with family incomes well above $100,000 pay that full price. And those with low family income can often pay less to go to private colleges than public institutions. Check out this calculator (courtesy of NPR) of what you'll actually pay for your education per year at over 1550 colleges/universities depending on your income.
