Water-Saving Toilets
Across the SBVC campus, every building on campus has multiple restrooms from which
to choose when nature calls. But, did you know that using the restrooms in the Physical
Sciences (PS) building saves more water than flushing and washing at any other facility
on campus?
Low-flow toilets and waterless urinals in the PS building save 80,811 gallons of
water per year on the SBVC campus. In the men’s restrooms, waterless urinals alone
can save an average of 20,000 to 45,000 gallons of water per year. That difference
represents a 20-30% water reduction over a traditional urinal every single year.
