I have been the Inter Club Council Representative for the Umoja program. I’ve done outreach for the school. I served on the ASG student senate last year. I have also tutored in both the Academic Success Center and the Stem Mesa center. So whether it’s one on one communication or speaking to a larger group I will use my communication skills and knowledge to serve the student body.
I want to best serve the students at Valley College so I want to bring to do what will best serve the students at valley. So if there’s something that students want to see I will do my best to make it happen.
My current field of study is kinesiology. After I complete my bachelor degree I want to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

I am a nationally certified EMT with a wealth of experience gained through my volunteer work with Team Rubicon, a prominent disaster response organization led by veterans. In this role, I have trained under FEMA guidelines and completed various Incident Command System courses. This hands-on training has provided me with invaluable knowledge in emergency coordination, public health, and crisis leadership. Additionally, I’ve been directly involved in policy advocacy for increased access to over-the-counter Narcan, serving as a precursor case for studies conducted by the Institute for Public Strategies. Through these experiences, I have learned from my mentors that effective leadership is built on three foundational pillars: crew resource management, empathy, and competence. Crew resource management has equipped me with the skills to collaborate under pressure, actively listen, and leverage the strengths of my team members. This is especially critical during Team Rubicon deployments, where decisions cannot be made in isolation. Communication is always key, especially within the chain of command; as student government president, I would apply these skills to foster a team-oriented environment, ensuring that all members feel valued and empowered to contribute. Organizing regular brainstorming sessions and open forums would facilitate collaboration on student initiatives, ensuring that all perspectives are considered in decision-making processes. I also intend to hold debriefings in which my staff can constructively address concerns or issues. Empathy is another cornerstone of my approach to emergency calls and when advocating for vulnerable communities. I have witnessed firsthand the barriers that people face when trying to access essential care, and this awareness shapes every conversation I have. As president, I would prioritize understanding the unique needs of the student body by conducting regular surveys and hosting listening sessions. This would allow me to advocate effectively for student interests and address their concerns, especially those who may feel unheard, ensuring their voices influence our initiatives to foster a safe learning environment and a strong community. Competence stems from a combination of rigorous training, consistency, and a commitment to preparedness. In emergency response and leadership roles, people rely on you to know your job and execute it with confidence and reliability. Maintaining a high level of competence means continuously seeking knowledge, staying updated on best practices, and being ready to adapt to dynamic environments. As president, I would emphasize the importance of training and development within the student government, encouraging workshops and leadership development programs to boost our collective capability. By fostering a culture of preparedness and competence, I would ensure that our team is equipped to address challenges proactively, building trust and dependability among our peers. The most important aspect for me is accountability. An individual in a leadership role must know when to take responsibility. By applying these principles as student government president, I aim to create a collaborative, empathetic, and competent leadership environment that serves the interests of all students and addresses their needs effectively. I’m a proud Hispanic. I attended HACU and believe that upholding the best a Hispanic-serving institution has to offer is essential to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, and access to resources that empower every student while also celebrating our unique cultures and experiences. Together, we can create a campus atmosphere where everyone feels valued and has the opportunity to thrive.
My first concern is the enhancement of basic needs. I've experienced how difficult it is to focus on school when you’re worried about where you’re sleeping or when you’ll eat next. No human deserves to suffer in such a regard, especially our students. So I promise that if elected, I will fight to expand basic needs, resources, and support. I will focus on the expansion of food assistance, access to hygiene supplies, assistance in finding housing support, and mental health resources, I will also focus on the expansion of support services, there have been times while homeless that I have been turned away because there was not enough personnel to handle basic needs cases. I find this unacceptable. I would ensure that students have the right to visit basic needs whenever they please without needing an appointment. How can a homeless student with no access to a phone or the internet be able to schedule a same-day appointment with basic needs when they're in crisis? The campus isn't open 24/7, and students can't always rely on campus technology to request support. We need walk-in access, rapid response, and a system that puts students first. Emergencies don’t wait for availability. While addressing basic needs, I would also make it a priority to visit college student governments and learn from their successes. We'll build connections and bring back new ideas. By utilizing this strategy, I hope to create a stronger student government. I will also hold regular surveys, open forums, and listening sessions to hear directly from our student body. This will help us stay grounded, focusing on the real, present needs of our students. I also want to foster academic passion on campus by enhancing the support of clubs, programs, and events. I would focus on finding ways to create space for more student-led academic initiatives and finding ways to connect students with professionals. Having mentors can drastically increase a student's chance of success. These initiatives aim to create a responsive and supportive student government, ensuring no student is left behind. My focus on basic needs, resources, academic growth, and the student's voice all stems from real experiences, both the struggles I've been through and the community I choose to believe in. I want every student at our college to feel seen, heard, and inspired. Every student deserves to not only survive but thrive.
My field of study is Nursing. I have aspirations in public health, emergency medical services, and a long-term aspiration to eventually become a doctor.

Running For:

Vice President of the Inter Club Council

Position:

Prepares agendas and chairs Inter Club Council (ICC) meetings, coordinates annual events with all clubs, reports ASG happenings to ICC and vice versa, identifies fundraising opportunities to clubs, meets with ICC advisor at least once a month. VP is the only member of the ASG who may not be a part of any club (member or officer) to avoid conflict of interest and bias.

Questions:

Vice President of the Inter Club Council
I am an undocumented first-generation college student who has experienced inequities and being underserved. I have developed these skills through the work I do as a student fellow, working with non-profit organizations outside of school, and being part of clubs on campus. I have collaboration, oral and written communication, analyzing information, critical thinking, problem solving, networking and leadership skills. I plan to find ways to provide more resources and inclusion of undocumented students on campus by effectively using my knowledge to better support our students. I have pushed myself to make changes on campus where all our students feel welcomed, heard, and seen by ASG.
If I were to be elected, I would like to see more fellowships or internships for undocumented students that could help them gain some type of financial income or stability to have better success in school. My goal is for our campus to be an all-around campus where all students have opportunities to progress and find the resources needed to make those ideas happen. I see that having fellowships or internships for undocumented students gives them the opportunity to gain professional, leadership, and communication skills to develop their self-character. As well as giving them the chance to gain some work experience due to the lack of help there is for the community itself. These opportunities and ideas could benefit the student community because it shows our students that their peers are just as valuable as everyone else and could help encourage others to seek those opportunities as well.
My current field of study is Mathematics and Computer Engineering in STEM. My long-term career aspirations are to become a professor for a university or college after graduating from UC Riverside or Cal Poly Pomona and being an activist for the undocumented community.

Running For:

Vice President of Student Senate

Position:

Region IX delegate, chairs the Student Senate meetings, assists all ASG standing committees, and carries out any legislation brought forth from the Student Senate. Also, must communicate ExecutiveBoard happenings to Student Senate and vice versa.

Questions:

Vice President of Student Senate
One of the most essential skills I possess is the ability to problem-solve through critical thinking. Whenever there's a problem, your voice is your most powerful tool, having the ability to express your ideas in words and having clear communication is powerful and can help you be more attentive to problems around you. I would also consider myself great at working with others. Being able to work as a team rather than alone can help improve efficiency and allow stuff to actually get done. I am a current Vice President of the AGS club (Alpha Gamma Sigma), and I have the ability to create events and promote them. These experiences would help me effectively represent students and punish them for their needs on campus.
Having begun the classes necessary to my major, Computer Science, I've noticed one thing that my peers and I have continuously struggled with: the necessary equipment to complete some assignments. I have a goal of housing a Computer Lab that is specifically tailored to majors that need computers with the necessary programs, often only achievable through high-performance computers. Although we do have a computer lab located in the library, I've worked on it with plenty of peers, and we find ourselves struggling to download the necessary programs needed to complete assignments. Although the library can be a great space to work, having collaborative workspaces where all students in a computer-related major can gather and work in groups on assignments, projects, or even workshops would be extremely beneficial for students to succeed. Not only that, but these workshops can even help these students when they transition over to a real job and teach them how to work together as a team.
My current field of study at San Bernardino Valley College is Computer Science. I hope to transfer in the fall of 2026 to a UC and continue my studies there. My overall long-term career aspiration is to become a computer forensic analyst, where I can apply my technical skills to digital investigations.

My academic experience related to ASG includes serving on two councils with SBCUSD and for Joe Baca’s 5th District. Currently, I am the Membership Director of the Young Black Democrats of the Inland Empire, where I encourage people of color to become more civically engaged. I have actively advocated for social issues on youth panels and participated in marches to speak with assembly members about legislative matters that have failed to benefit students. My experience in advocacy, leadership, and service within academic settings has deepened my passion for being involved in decision-making processes that not only impact me but also shape the future for students who come after me.
If elected, I plan to address a critical yet often overlooked issue—addiction and its impact on students. I will work to establish a support program that provides resources for students seeking help, recognizing that such assistance should be readily available in an academic setting. Additionally, I am committed to improving the academic experience for students with disabilities by advocating for inclusive events and clubs that celebrate their value and contributions, ensuring they receive the same enriching opportunities as their peers. Furthermore, I will advocate for Black students, drawing from my own experiences with racial discrimination in ASG. My goal is to empower Black students to take an active role in decision-making and become the change we want to see. Lastly, I aim to foster a more engaged campus culture—one where students do more than just attend classes and go home. I want to create an environment where students stay, connect, and participate in academic activities that support their aspirations and growth.
I am currently studying social work and plan to transfer to either Columbia University or San Diego State to pursue a dual degree in social work and law. My career goals center around addressing addiction, improving the foster care system, and defending juveniles in their fight for a second chance. Ultimately, I aspire to create a behavioral program dedicated to the restoration of addicted or troubled youth. Beyond direct service, I aim to advocate at a high political level, ensuring that policies positively impact the lower class and support the well-being of minorities—socially, physically, and mentally. I am deeply committed to restoring and uplifting individuals in underserved communities, dedicating my life to advocacy and service. My mission is to inspire those who have been marginalized to see beyond their circumstances and realize their potential in a society where invisible hierarchies exist.

My educational background, skills, or experiences that I possess that would enhance my role in the Associate Student Government is that I'm a full-time college business major student, and I'm a social person that can communicate and work in public administration atmospheres. I'm also a leader that can help organize event planning that will be beneficial for this position. The skills that I have are the ability to lead and guide others, such as managing group dynamics. I also have communication skills; for example, I'm strong in written and verbal communication that will be effective to represent the club and to engage with the members. My other skill is being organized and having the ability to think critically and resolve many conflicts or obstacles that could come upon. My experience that I have is being involved in many leadership roles such as in sports, from being a team captain to running clubs and being an active member in the Umoja-Tumani Academy. When I am a leader in these roles, I am committed and determined to being the best self I can be for those clubs and committees that I have a role in. I also do volunteering for campus and community events, such as community service, that can help build my network and show that I'm dedicated. I could utilize these assets to effectively serve and support the student body because I have leadership abilities to help my students that can create an inclusive environment where everyone can feel valued and can use their voice. I can also encourage people to collaborate in many decision-making processes. Moreover, my communication skills will have ways for students, through regular meetings, feedback sessions, and social media, to understand their needs and concerns better to address them effectively. Therefore, me being organized can plan and have events run smoothly that can cater to many people that take students interests within the student body, which ensures that activities are well-promoted and able to be accessed, including workshops, social events, or discussions such as pork talks. Lastly, as a problem solver, I could utilize my assets in the role of the student body because I can be proactive and can identify issues that the students face and will work collaboratively with the faculty and staff to find solutions; whether it's advocating for better resources that can address the campus concerns, being a problem solver will make a big difference.
If I'm elected as the assistant director of the interclub council, the specific goals and ideas that I have are to organize the inter-club collaboration events that will encourage collaboration between different clubs on campus. Such as the workshops, the multicultural fairs, and the themed social events. These collaborations can help build the community and will allow students to be interested. As for student feedback, I will have regular forums where students can voice their opinions and have ideas on student life for club activities. This would help ensure that the council will address the needs and desires of the student body, which will have them more engaged. Moreover, when it comes to the leadership in workshops, I will help focus on developing leadership skills among the students that will have topics to include public speaking, conflict resolution, and team-building games. I think these workshops will help students take on leadership roles with their clubs and within others. I think if I get elected for this role, the benefits for the student community would also have programs that have clubs participate in the community service events, because it wouldn't only benefit the community but also the leadership roles for the officers in the responsibility and connection to the larger society. Lastly, I feel developing a platform where clubs could use resources to feel more connected and active in the campus community, promoting personal development and encouraging a culture of collaboration and service.
My current field of study at San Bernardino Valley College is business, and my long-term career aspirations are to own a hair salon business in the Inland Empire and finish college by getting all three of my degrees. With my business degree I want to own multiple hair salon boutiques in many states, not just California. My other long-term career aspiration is to be an influencer, such as being a YouTuber, and live my life by doing hair and vlogging and filming what I do every day as a job for the long term. Such as after I finish my college and get my degrees, I soon want to give back to the community and the colleges that I graduated from in the future and donate money to the business program and KVCR program at San Bernardino Valley College.

Student Trustee

Position:

The Student Trustee at San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) serves as a non-voting member of the San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD) Board of Trustees, representing the voice and interests of the student body in district governance and decision-making processes. This role involves attending board meetings, advocating for student concerns, and providing input on policies that impact students across the district.

Questions:

Student Trustee
My experience as Vice President of the Student Senate at SBVC and Legislative Affairs Director for Region IX in the SSCCC has given me firsthand insight into student advocacy, policy-making, and leadership. I have worked to increase student engagement, strengthen regional connections, and hold student government accountable to those it serves. These roles have allowed me to develop skills in policy analysis, community outreach, and effective governance, which I will bring to the Associated Student Government. As a Philosophy major, I have learned that leadership is not simply about making decisions—it is about seeking truth, challenging injustice, and ensuring that every voice is heard. Philosophy has shaped my approach to reasoned, ethical leadership, teaching me to analyze problems from multiple perspectives and pursue solutions that not only serve the present but build a stronger foundation for the future. As Student Trustee, I will use these experiences to ensure that students have a greater say in decisions that impact their education. I will advocate for increased investment in student resources, such as emergency aid and mental health services, and work to expand outreach and networking opportunities, so more students feel connected and empowered to participate. My goal is to foster a student government that is not only representative but truly responsive—one that listens, acts, and ensures that every student, regardless of background, has access to the tools they need to succeed.
If elected as Student Trustee, my primary focus would be to increase student engagement and ensure that every student feels heard and valued. One of my key initiatives would be to expand outreach efforts across campus, making it easier for students from all backgrounds and disciplines to get involved in student government and have their voices represented. I will work to host campus-wide forums and events that provide a platform for students to express their concerns, share ideas, and collaborate on solutions that can improve our campus community. Another important goal would be to advocate for greater access to student resources, particularly for those facing crises such as food insecurity, housing instability, and mental health challenges. I will push for expanded emergency aid programs, increased mental health services, and initiatives that support students’ basic needs so that they can focus on their education without the distraction of survival concerns. Additionally, I plan to strengthen connections within the broader community, including building partnerships with other colleges, organizations, and local businesses. This would create more opportunities for SBVC students to engage in internships, career fairs, and leadership training, giving them a broader network of support and growth. These initiatives will foster a more inclusive, engaged, and supportive environment at San Bernardino Valley College. By increasing student engagement, expanding access to critical resources, and strengthening our connections with the broader community, we will ensure that every student—regardless of their background—has the tools, support, and opportunities needed to thrive. Together, we can build a campus where students feel empowered, supported, and equipped for success, both during their time at SBVC and as they move forward in their futures.
My major is philosophy and my love for political thought stems from a deep curiosity about how we can shape a fairer, more just world. Philosophy has taught me to question assumptions, seek truth, and consider the ethical implications of every decision. Political thought has shown me the power of governance in creating change and addressing societal challenges. These passions have driven me to pursue a future in law, where I hope to advocate for those whose voices are often unheard. I aspire to become a lawyer, not only to serve my community but to give back to the very place that has shaped me into the person I am today. Through law, I aim to fight for justice, equity, and the rights of those who need it most.

As a first-generation college student interested in attending law school—and currently pursuing Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at SBVC—I bring a strong academic foundation and a deep understanding of our diverse student population. I also have real-world experience as a student leader, public speaker, and founder of a consulting business that supports undocumented and marginalized students. I’ve served in various leadership roles including Treasurer of the DREAMers Club and liaison to advocacy organizations. My lived experience as an undocumented, queer student without work authorization gives me a unique perspective on the systemic barriers students face. I plan to use these skills to elevate student voices at the district level, ensuring equity is not just a value, but a practice.
I aim to implement a districtwide “Student Bill of Rights” similar to this, https://catalog.tmcc.edu/rules-regulations/student-bill-rights/, focused on mental health access, inclusive learning environments, and basic needs support. I also want to establish an Undocumented Student Advisory Council to inform districtwide decisions, and push for more transparency and student involvement in budget allocation. Additionally, I would advocate for expanding access to free or low-cost educational resources, especially for students who are housing insecure, parenting, undocumented, or returning to school. These initiatives would center equity, reduce barriers, and create a more just and student-centered college experience.
I’m currently studying Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at SBVC, and I am the Founder and Principal Consultant of NavigateED Solutions, a consulting firm dedicated to supporting marginalized students in higher education. My long-term goal is to matriculate at Harvard Law School to become a licensed civil rights and immigration attorney and policy advocate focused on mental health access for immigrant and low-income communities. I have been involved in my fair share of groups. I have also been active in the youth group in my church, where I have implemented several ideas and activities to strengthen the bond of the fellow youth in the church. I have always been passionate about community outreach and being a freshman in college, I find this to be a great opportunity to start showing my skills of being an innovative, resourceful and engaging asset to the community.
I strongly believe that student's opinions and ideas should always be heard and advocated for which is why I think running for trustee would be a perfect position for me. I would love and enjoy running surveys with students about how they feel about the school or how they would feel about a new program and promote community discussion. I would love to find ways and inspiration from other institutions on how our school can grow and what could the students benefit from. Using all that information, we could analyze where our funding should/ could be going to further benefit the student community.
My current field of study is in chemistry. I aim to get a career in environmental research and hope to implement more environmentally friendly policies and regulations towards corporations.
