The Mathematics Department supports students in all levels of mathematics, through differential equations and linear algebra courses. Students who are curious about theoretical mathematics or applications of math in the real world (financial math, math for educators, statistics, and more) will be able to find a course that interests them.  There are job opportunities in theoretical mathematics, and there are even more in education, business, engineering, and other technical fields that rely on mathematics. Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution and major in mathematics or a related field should consult with a counselor regarding the transfer process and lower division requirements.
