The Library Technology Program equips students with essential library, customer service, and information literacy skills to ensure they are well prepared for today's dynamic information landscape. With a certificate and associate of arts degree, the Library Technology Program caters to the needs of the next generation of library paraprofessionals. Graduates are eligible for diverse roles, including school library specialists, library technicians, clerks, pages, catalogers, and billing specialists. Geared towards meeting the workforce demands of local school, city, county, academic, and special libraries, the program plays a vital role in shaping our community's library professionals. Our Library Technology program prioritizes flexibility to accommodate our students' demanding schedules. Classes are online and in an asynchronous format (except for LIB 062, an elective hybrid class) and are 2 units and 8 weeks (except for LIB 110, which is 3 units and 16 weeks), ensuring that students can balance their academic pursuits with other commitments.
