- This is a HYBRID class. This means that there are both on-campus and online Internet activities required. To participate in this class you must attend all scheduled on-campus classes and have access to a computer that has a reliable internet connection. Students should access http://online.valleycollege.edu during the week prior to the semester start date. All information regarding this class, including course-specific technology requirements, will be found on that webpage. The course may not be accessible to students until the first day of the class. Note: The LAB portion of this class includes 6 arranged hours per week at the SBVC Child Development Center or approved site. Note: Regarding arranged LAB hours, students must be available six hours per week (Monday through Friday) between 8:00am and 4:00pm, for participation in supervised observation and interaction activities with children. Students complete arranged laboratory hours at the SBVC Child Development Center and other approved sites under the supervision of teachers with teaching credentials or child development permits from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Specific days and site locations are provided in the first week of instruction. Students must comply with all COVID-19 and other center requirements in the lab. Lab hours and lab assignments are required as part of the student's grade in this class. Note: In accordance with SB792, this class requires all students to submit the following to their class instructor on the first day of class: 1. Proof of immunizations for measeles, influenza, and pertussis. 2. Clear tuberculosis test. Note: Universal Access Point (UAP).
