Instructor Comments :
Welcome to the brave new world of online history! Hope you like reading and writing, because they're both unavoidable. Survivors of this class report that it was more work than they expected, but also more enjoyable and rewarding. We'll see what you think about that (and about lots of other things).

This class takes place entirely online and never meets in the "real" world. The Canvas site will become available a few days before the official start, so check in ahead of time for the course syllabus, announcements, and such. I send an email to all registered students a week or two before the beginning of class detailing the book requirements and other relevant information. Check your campus email, or write me for the information. Because our schedule is so condensed, I highly recommend you get your hands on the book before the official beginning of the class.

We will be making extensive use of discussion boards, online quizzing, and other interwebby stuff. If you're new to Canvas, or to online classes, check out the tutorials and be ready to hit the ground running.
